October and November

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families!
I thought that I had "just a few pictures" to share with you for the past four weeks, but once I started downloading them from my phone... oh my, there are a lot! I hope that you and your Kinders enjoy viewing these together.

My view during Guided Reading Groups :)

Science
Observing our eyes as the pupils react to light :)

Continuing Science...
using mirrors to see letters that are printed backwards

Our third grade Buddies joined us for our experiment about
the sense of smell :)

Math rotations ~ the Kinders worked with me at the teaching table and made a set that could be sorted one OR two of three ways.
Then, they rotated through other centers practicing their measuring skills.

We explored a pumpkin using all five senses.
I didn't have any extra, DRY, hands to get pictures of our pumpkin carving so I just have the finished product and the aftermath.

Even in our costumes, we did our Phonics lesson.

Parade time!

This is my fifth grade son, he was Mr. Wiles ;)
My last one in elementary school!

We had a blast walking with our Buddies.

Such a fun party!
Many thanks to our Room Parents who arranged such a great time for the kids :)

Mrs. R came to visit us again and this time we learned about how our brains grow.

Recess!

We measured the rug, our tables, chairs, pencils, cups, bins... and ourselves!

Another day of measurement... how many of our OWN feet is the length of the carpet.

Science experiment ~ what sinks and what floats?

Our first time using our new headphone splitters!

And then the scales... measuring weight.

Buddy time!
During American Education Week, we met to read to one another and to share what we want to do when we are adults :)

Practicing the sight word FOR
I am thankful for these amazing Kindergarteners!

100 SOARING WITH PRIDE STICKERS
