December

How in the world did we get to the end of the year already?  Here are our last few weeks of Kindergarten in 2016.  I felt as though I hardly took any pictures lately...I've been so busy, but apparently I managed to get these!  Enjoy :)

In Math, we have concentrated on making teen numbers in as many ways as possible.  These are rotations during which the kids used tens frames, rods and blocks, cubes, reknreks and links.

Character Counts recognition for December

We really enjoyed listening and learning about our classmates' family traditions.
Just LOOK at these little public speakers!!! :)

Just in case you didn't make it to the Art Show, here are our Kinders' pieces.

 Day two of presentations

We learned how to play dreidel.

Phonics

Gingerbread House construction site :)
Thank you Parents who were able to assist... I would NEVER be able to do this without your help!

After we constructed our Gingerbread houses, we wrote about who might live in them!

Oh, inside recess! ;)

Artists' work hanging in the hallways of UES

A Kinder who knows my REAL name left me this message at recess :)

At least here I retain my true identity ;)

We ate gingerbread men and conducted an experiment as to which part each of us bit first :)

Winter Chorus Concert

I have no pictures of the kids as they visited the other three Kindergarten classrooms... but here they are once they returned to France in our classroom.

Another math game, Gingerbread Man War

Doing some research to decorate the Gingerbread men as Star Wars characters ;)

Happy Holidays and enjoy your winter break!  I look forward to seeing you all in 2017!
